Half-Day/Easier Walks:
White Cottage Walk

A gentle, picturesque stroll from Glen Sligachan to the iconic white cottage nestled beside the river. Perfect for a quick wander or a peaceful break, this route offers charming views of the Cuillin and a lovely spot for photos or a quiet picnic.Β

Sligachan Waterfalls

A short and sweet walk from the famous stone bridge to a series of sparkling waterfalls and pools. Perfect for a quick break, photos, or a refreshing splash on a warm day.
Loch Sligachan

π Difficulty/Elevation: Easy to Moderate / gentle ascent
A peaceful, scenic walk along the lochβs edge with big skies and calm waters. The trail offers wonderful views of the Red Cuillin and is ideal for a relaxing morning or evening stroll.

Sgùrr na Strì

π Time: 7-9 hours
π Difficulty/Elevation: Hard / steep final section
From Sligachan, walk through the heart of the glen before making the steep climb up Sgùrr na Strì - widely regarded as one of the best viewpoints on Skye. The effort is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views over Loch Coruisk, the Cuillin Ridge, and the surrounding sea.
Fairy Pools (On Foot via Glen Sligachan)

A longer, quieter route to the iconic Fairy Pools that takes you over the Bealach aβ Mhaim pass. This path rewards walkers with dramatic mountain scenery and far fewer crowds.
Camasunary Bay

π Difficulty/Elevation: Moderate / relatively flat
A beautiful walk along Glen Sligachan, where the mountains frame a peaceful river valley. The trail leads to Camasunary Bay, a quiet, wild cove with stunning sea views and a remote bothy - perfect for a true escape into nature.
Cuillin Munros (Experienced Walkers & Climbers Only)

For experienced climbers and scramblers, the Cuillin peaks accessible from Sligachan offer some of the most challenging and spectacular mountain terrain in Scotland. Proper skills and preparation are essential or we recommend hiring a local guide!
